Linguistics Department Colloquium (Weekly talks)

The Linguistics Department hosts the Linguistics Colloquium most Mondays from 3:00 to 4:30 pm.

Texas Linguistics Society (Yearly Conference)

The Texas Linguistics Society conference is an entirely student-organized conference with a different theme each year. The three-day meeting is held annually in early November.

SALSA (Yearly conference)

The Symposium about Language and Society - Austin (SALSA) is entirely student-organized conference focusing on sociolinguistics and linguistic anthropology. It meets each year for three days in mid-April.

Congreso de Idiomas Indígenas de Latinoamérica / Conference on Indigenous languages of Latin America (Biannual conference)

The CILLA III Preliminary Program is now available. The Conference on Indigenous Languages of Latin America III is being held from October 25-27 at the Thompson Conference Center.

The Congreso de Idiomas Indígenas de Latinoameréca / Conference on Indigenous Languages of Latin America is a three-day conference held in mid-October of every odd-numbered year, sponsored by the Center for Indigenous Languages of Latin America.

Dedicated to the memory of Prof. Carlota S. Smith (1934-2007)

CHRONOS is a series of biannual conferences devoted to current research on the morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics of markers of tense, aspect, mood, and modality. The conferences welcome presentations from scholars who approach linguistic research from different perspectives and embrace different theoretical frameworks. The current meeting will include a parasession in Romance languages.
