The Linguistic Society of America (LSA) and the Department of Linguistics at the University of Chicago have named Tony Woodbury as the Ken Hale Professor for the 2015 Linguistic Summer Institute. This professorship was established by the LSA "to address the strongly felt need in our profession to document endangered languages and work with communities toward their preservation." Congratulations to Tony for this well-earned recognition of his enormous contributions to language documentation and preservation.
Tony Woodbury will be joined at the University of Chicago by three other members of our faculty who will be teaching there in Summer 2015: Steve Wechsler, John Beavers, and Pattie Epps.
