*The 10-12 degree plan requires 9 hours (3 classes) of upper division linguistics electives.  The degree plans 04-06 through 08-10 require 6 hours (2 classes) of upper division linguistics electives.  Students are automatically put into the degree plan that corresponds to the year of their first semester at UT.  If you are unsure which degree plans you qualify for, please contact the Undergraduate Coordinator.
