Course Description
Course number may be repeated for credit when the topics vary. Post-Zionist perspectives in Israeli literature and film. No more than 6 hours may be counted toward the MA in Hebrew Studies or the PHD in Hebrew Studies.This seminar explores Israeli literature and cinema through in the context of the controversial historical, cultural, and artistic development that has come to be known as "post-Zionism." Within the framework of the theoretical texts that inform post-Zionism, we will first consider its various interpretations in literature and film, as well as the social and cultural context which gave birth to it.

participation, 40 % seminar paper (20-25 pages), 60%
