Course Description
This course, which is the second in a sequence of four courses, builds upon First Year Biblical Hebrew I and involves a thorough study of Biblical Hebrew grammar. Emphasis is placed on the verb system and the rules of sentence structure. The same analytical approach adopted for the first semester is applied, but the texts selected are expanded to include Biblical chapters of poetic, legal and prophetic nature. Among the texts selected for the course are the Ten Commandments, chapters from the book of Leviticus, Psalms 23, 27, and 121, Proverbs 8 and 10, Isaiah 53 and Jeremiah 31.
