Course Description
This course, which is the third in a sequence of four courses, builds upon First-Year Biblical Hebrew II and involves a thorough study of Biblical Hebrew grammar. Emphasis is placed on nominal structures and complex sentence structures, and students are introduced to the historical development of Biblical Hebrew phonology and to the commonly-used reference works. Texts selected for this course are large sections taken from Genesis, the book of II Samuel, and the Scroll of Ruth.
Grading Policy
Class attendance and participation: 20%; Quizzes: 35%; Midterm exam: 15%; Homework assignments: 15%; Final exam: 15%
