Course Description
The course will survey the development of the Arab-Jewish conflict from the beginning of Zionist immigration to the present and will analyze the parties' position on the main controversial issues: Israel's legitimacy; the status of Jerusalem; the borders between Jews and Palestinians; the refugees. It will also examine the role of religion in the conflict and the part played by outside forces: the Powers, the UN and the Arab States.
