MES 320 • JEWISH ETHICS
10:00 AM-11:00 AM
A study of Jewish attitudes towards ethical issues through readings of various Jewish texts. Our focus will be on social (e.g. the family, charity) and medical ethics (e.g. life and death issues, the use of life support systems, and organ transplantation). Biblical and rabbinic sources will be adduced to help define Jewish stances towards ancient and contemporary issues.
