Course Description
The course, which builds upon HEB 506 and 507, enhances the students reading, conversation and comprehension skills, while expanding their vocabulary and knowledge of Modern Hebrew grammar. Emphasis is placed on oral discourse and individual/group communicative skills, and audio-visual materials are used to supplement instruction. Students are provided with practice in the use of a Hebrew dictionary, and, toward the end of the course, are expected to read selections in simplified Hebrew which include newspaper articles, poetry and prose. **Course descriptions may vary per instructor, please see instructor for details**.
Grading Policy
Class attendance and participation; Weekly quizzes; Midterm exam (oral and written); Homework assignments; Oral presentations; Final exam (oral and written). Distribution of grades will be determined by individual instructors.
