Course Description
This course examines the writings of prominent twentieth-century Arab intellectuals on language and culture, including: Adonis, Taha Hussein, Hisham Sharabi, Abd al-Rahman Munif, Sadiq al-Azm, Muhammad Abid al-Jabiri, Ghada al-Samman, Sadiq al-Nayhum, and Salwa Bakr. To be conducted in Arabic.
