Course Description
The objective of this course is to acquaint students with the beauty and special features of Biblical poetry - from the literary as well as the linguistic points of view, and acquaint the students with the structures, rhythms, and inner music of biblical poetry. Texts will be read in the original Hebrew text and will be discussed in English.
Grading Policy
Undergraduates: class participation, regular assignments, oral class reports, and a 10-15 page final paper. Graduates: class participation, regular assignments, oral class reports, and a 20-30 page final paper.
