Course Description
This course examine the lives and contributions of Muslim women, both in the past and in the contemporary era. The focus of this course is the following: 1) to identify and study about important Muslim women, 2) to learn about the contributions of women in various areas, 3) to study the diverse roles women have played in Muslim societies, and 4) to understand the dynamics of interaction between men and women in Muslim societies, and lastly, 5) to understand the diverse ways in which women are symbolically represented in Muslim societies.
