PRS 322L • THIRD-YEAR PERSIAN II

This advanced Persian language proficiency course is designed for students who have completed Third-Year Persian I or its equivalent as well as students who have had exposure to Persian at this level and who pass a placement examination for PRS 320K. The material for this course will consist of scholarly social science material and philosophical, historical, religious, and other texts as well as supplementary audio-visual material. The course emphasizes composition, comprehension and conversation in Persian. The use of monolingual dictionaries will be encouraged. Students are required to write short compositions and also give class presentations on assigned topics on a weekly basis.
Exams and quizes, 60%; weekly assignments and presentations, 40%.
