Course Description

A study of daily life in ancient Israel during the Period of the Judges and the Monarchy. Our reconstructin of patterns of daily life will be based upon Biblical and archaeological sources. We will focus primarily upon religion, subsistence patterns, ancient technology, and social organization in Biblical cities and towns.

Grading Policy

Midterm quiz 40%; Final quiz 40%; Research paper (5-10 pages) 20%.
