Course Description

Rather, it is intended to help students learn how to look at art, and to raise their awareness of historical and cultural factors that affect the ways they look. In separate segments, the course introduces abbreviated canons of artistic traditions in Europe, Central Eurasia and India, and China from the medieval to early modern periods. Between segments of the course that introduce these traditions independently, short interlude segmentscultural exchange.
