Dedemin İnsanları (My Grandfather’s People, 2011), director Çağan Irmak, 123 min.

Inspired by Irmak’s own childhood and family history, “My Grandfather’s People” focuses on the late 1970s and early 1980s in Turkey while relating personal memories of the 1924 population exchange agreement between Turkey and Greece under the Treaty of Lausanne.  A warm family drama accompanied by a challenging, socio-political idealism…

All films are free and open to the public, in Turkish with English subtitles.

All films to be shown in MEZ 1.306.  Closest parking is in the Co-op and Dobie Mall Garages.
