We are saying thank-you to a very special colleague.
Ian R. Manners has served on the faculty of the Geography Department at the University of Texas at Austin for over a 33 year career. He has also served as both the Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies and the Chair of the Department of Middle Eastern Studies. Wrapping up this long and distinguished career, he is now moving into phased retirement. We owe him a giant debt of gratitude, and invite you to a celebratory reception. Please come prepared to share your stories and memories of Ian in his various roles at this institution.
