Ari Adut

Research: Ari Adut's book, On Scandal: Moral Disturbances in Society, Politics, and Art, will be published by Cambridge University Press in the summer of 2008. He is currently working on several projects with the following topics: 1. Violence during the French revolution, 2. Violence in civil wars, 3. Public sphere, 4. Commodification, 5. Political prediction markets. Adut's research has been published in American Journal of Sociology and Theory and Society, and it has received support from the Social Science Research Council and the American Council of Learned Societies.
