ROTC Language and Culture Project
Overview
The ROTC Language and Culture Project (LCP) at The University of Texas at Austin provides instruction in and exposure to the languages and cultures of the Persian- and Arabic-speaking communities in the Middle East. The goal of the LCP is to cultivate a deeper understanding of these cultures within UT’s ROTC student body in an effort to enrich each cadet and midshipman’s military, professional and personal experiences and to prepare them for possible contact with these communities in the course of their military and professional careers.
Eligibility
All currently enrolled cadets and midshipmen in good standing with the University are eligible to participate in LCP activities and programs. Active duty personnel affiliated with UT’s ROTC programs are encouraged to participate in all activities, but are not eligible to receive funding through the LCP.
