DMES Grad Student Earns Javits Fellowship

Alex Magidow, PhD candidate in Arabic studies, has been granted the prestigious Jacob K Javits Fellowship, a multi-year award funded by the Department of Education. The fellowship will support Alex’s doctoral research, which applies a sociohistorical approach to the reconstruction of Arabic dialects and the documentation of their linguistic evolution.
