Degree Plan for Persian Studies

Below are the degree requirements based on the most recent issue of the Undergraduate Catalog. Students should speak with the undergraduate adviser to determine catalog eligibility.

Foreign Language Requirement

Persian majors must complete the College of Liberal Arts foreign language requirement in Persian.

Persian Major Requirements

24 hours of upper-division Persian, including 18 in-residence:

1. 9 hours of Persian 329 Topics in Persian Language and Literature
2. 15 additional hours of upper-division Persian

Persian Minor Requirements

12 hours in one field of study, including 6 upper-division hours and 6 in-residence hours.
