Course Description
This course covers the scope of psychology as a science. Topics include: biological psychology, sensation and perception, learning and memory, thought and intelligence, human development, social behavior, personality, and psychological disorders.
This course endeavors to introduce students to fundamental theories and concepts within the field, to encourage students to think critically about psychological research, and to introduce students to psychological writing.
Grading Policy
4 quizzes short-answer format, 40% of final grade 5 short papers in total (650-1000 words each), including one revision, 40% final grade. 4 group paper reports (Randomly assigned groups present findings of a course-related assigned research article to the class. Includes brief (300 words) comment paper on research article's findings.), 20% of final grade
Final grades given accordingly: 90-100=A; 8089=B; 7079=C; 6069=D
