Course Description

This course is an introduction to the science of psychology with an emphasis on the studies and findings that have shaped the field. Biological and evolutionary factors on human behavior will be considered. An opportunity will be provided for students to suggest topics for lectures that particularly interest them and a large breadth of topics will be covered. Classes will often be lecture format but student participation and discussion will also be encouraged.

Grading Policy

Grades will be composed of the following: 3 in class non-cumulative exams with a mixture of short answer and multiple choice -- 25% each 2 short essay papers with a choice of topics-- 10% each Attendance and participation-- 5%
