Course Description

This course will provide an introduction to the field and practice of psychology. Research and theory will be presented from physiological psychology, neuropsychology, cognition, learning and memory, developmental, personality and social psychology. The course will take an evolutionary approach to the study of human nature throughout content areas.

Grading Policy

Four exams will be given during class time, each worth 20% of the course grade. Each exam will consist of multiple-choice questions as well as fill-in, short-answer, and essay questions. There will also be four short writing assignments throughout the term, each worth 2% of the course grade. There will be a cumulative essay test during final exam period worth 12% of the course grade.
