Course Description

A survey of the diverse roots of modern psychology, the competing schools which influenced psychology's development, and the perspectives that guide scholarship and service in present-day psychology.

Grading Policy

The course grade will be based on three, 40-point exams, an optional final exam worth 120 points, and writing assignments worth 240 points for a possible course total of 480 points. The optional final exam will be divided into three, 40-point sections, each representing one-third of the course material. Students who have taken all hour exams may skip the final, letting their original exams count double, or attempt to improve their grade by taking one section of the final exam.
