Course Description
This course covers: perspectives on defining and managing mental health and abnormal behavior; biopsychosocial considerations in the development and treatment of mental illness; etiological theories and models of mental health and adaptive functioning; current and historical ethical standards and controversies in abnormal psychology.
Grading Policy
Three in-class exams and a cumulative final exam. All exams are comprised of multiple-choice and short-essay questions. Some extra-credit opportunities will be given in class, mostly based on attendance.
