Course Description
This course will examine the cellular and molecular mechanisms of learning and memory. The lectures will focus on the brain mechanisms that underlie learning and memory storage. Specific topics include: behavioral approaches to studying learning and memory, acquisition, consolidation, extinction, persistence, retrieval, forgetting, and reconsolidation.
Class sessions will include lectures, as well as presentations and discussion of relevant journal articles
Grading Policy
Oral presentation: 25% Article summaries: 25% Midterm Exam: 20% Final Exam: 30%
