Course Description
The study of the classification, development, expression, and treatment of the psychological disorders. Cultural and individual differences important to mental health will be addressed. There are also weekly interactive class exercises involve application of diagnostic categories and treatment plans and strategies to actual cases.
Grading Policy
Two (2) exams (midterm and final) will be given during the semester. The Midterm will contribute to about 48-50% of your final grade. The Midterm will include 25 multiple-choice questions and 1-2 short answer essays. The Final Exam is comprised of approximately 25-40% of old material and 60-75% new material. The Final will include 50 multiple-choice questions and 2-3 short answer essays. The Final will be comprehensive and contribute to about 50-52% of your final grade.
