Course Description
Introduction to the biological bases of psychological processes and behavior. The class will also provide an overview of the physiology and anatomy of the nervous system, followed by a survey of brain mechanisms of perception, cognition, learning and emotion. Biological perspectives on drug action and mental disease will also be explored.
Grading Policy
Grades will be based on 4 in-class exams and a cumulative final, each consisting of both multiple-choice and short-answer questions. The best 4 of the 5 exam scores will each count for 25% of the final grade.
