A survey of the diverse roots of modern psychology, the competing schools which influenced psychology's development, and the perspectives which guide scholarship and service in present-day psychology.
The course grade will be based on three, 40-point, "hour exams," each covering about one-third of the course material, a cumulative final exam worth 120 points, and two writing assignments worth 120 points for a possible course total of 360 points. Each of the writing assignments will be five to seven double-spaced pages in length.
