Course Description
This class is designed to acquaint the student with research and theory in a variety of areas of psychology. The course will cover: biopsychology, consciousness, learning, cognition, intelligence, personality, development, abnormal, clinical and social. The class will primarily take a lecture format, but students will be given lots of opportunites to ask questions or offer opinions.
Grading Policy
There will be three exams for this class, each covering 1/3 of the course material. There will NOT be a cumulative final. However, the third exam will be given during the first hour of the final exam time for this class. Each exam will consist of three short essays. For each of the three essays, students will choose to answer one of two alternative questions. Exam grades will then be assigned as follows: 90-100=A; 80-89=B; 70-79=C; 60-69=D; below 60=F.
