Course Description

The traditional content areas of psychology will be explored. Lecture topics include stress, brain mechanisms, learning and memory, personality, Freud, development, abnormal behavior, therapy, social processes, and much more. Particular emphasis will be placed on the ways psychologists think in answering questions. 

Grading Policy

The are four tests and no final. The three highest tests are worth about 28% each; the lowest only 8%. Tests are based on both lectures and reading. Four writing assignments worth 8% of the final grade grade. Students are also required to complete an experimental participation requirement in order to receive a grade in the class.
