Course Description
This course provides an advanced introduction to the development of children's thinking, from infancy through the elementary school years. The goal of the course is to familiarize students with theory and research on cognitive development in children. Topics include Piagetian theory, Information Processing theory, language development, conceptual development, social cognition, memory.
Grading Policy
Two exams (Midterm and Final): 40% (20% each) Term Paper (10-15 pp.): 30% Reaction papers (total of 7, 1 p. each): 20% Class Participation: 10%
