New research reveals "language style matching" in conversations between couples

A study that investigates the phenomenon of "language style matching" has been published in The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Psychology professor James Pennebaker and graduate student Molly Ireland discovered that people match each other's language styles more during happier periods of their relationship.
