Social psychology professor Sam Gosling is referred to as the "Edison" of snooping in this New York Times article that reflects upon the impressions we gather from others' bookshelves. According to Dr. Gosling, “If I have a conversation with you, I just get snippets of behavior. Your books, your chairs, your wall hangings represent an accumulation over many years.
