The young and the reckless

Psychology professor Russell Poldrack has co-authored an article published in Nature Neuroscience that discusses a study of impulsivity in 14-year-olds. Results of the study showed that substance use and ADHD symptoms are associated with different brain networks that inhibit motor responses. They describe the findings of the study as "illuminating", and that it "revealed a new group of questions to be explored while providing us with a solid base of information to work from as we begin to answer them." more >
