New CPS training program funded by NIH

Psychology professors Mary Hayhoe and Wilson Geisler are principal investigators of a group of researchers from the Center for Perceptual Systems who are recipients of a CPS Training Grant from the National Institutes of Health, National Eye Institute. The grant provides $179,052 per year for 5 years and slots for three graduate students and one post-doctoral fellow. The grant recipients (Drs. Hayhoe, Geisler,Ballard, Cormack, Fiete, Huk, Pillow, and Seidemann) are distinguished by their broad interdisciplinary research program in vision, representing psychophysical, neurophysiological, imaging, and computational approaches. Their new program aims to train new scientists in the field of vision science by providing broad cross-disciplinary training, training in computational methods, and natural systems analysis.
