Social psychology professor Sam Gosling has been working with the Transportation Security Administration’s Canine Breeding and Development Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio for several years, studying ways to develop explosives-detecting dogs.
The TSA, however, is planning to close its San Antonio facility.
Dr. Gosling is the director of the Animal Personality Institute. This interdisciplinary group of researchers are dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding of personality and temperament in animals.
