Dr. Tamika Carey, assistant professor of composition and rhetoric at the University of North Carolina-Pembroke, will be presenting "Take Your Place: Rhetorical Healing and Black Womanhood in Tyler Perry's Films." The talk is part of the Department of Rhetoric and Writing Cultural Rhetoric Colloquium series.
The event will take place Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the Gebaur conference, room GEB 3.312. Refreshments will be served, and the event is free and open to the public.
