Sixth Edition of John Ruszkiewicz's Everything's An Argument
Everything's An Argument started out as an introductory chapter for an anthology of readings that grew into a full book, published originally in 1999. Now in a new sixth edition, the influential textbook keeps up with the times by appearing in several e-book formats. "We're even available on Kindle," co-author John Ruszkiewicz points out. "Our first edition explained how electronic media would reshaping arguments, but I don't think we anticipated then that the book itself would, in just over a decade, be available in e-reader formats." The latest edition includes a new section on academic research and writing and showcases a number of model arguments by students from the University of Texas at Austin. Ruszkiewicz notes, too, that he and co-author Andrea Lunsford of Stanford University made an effort to streamline Everything's an Argument to keep costs down. "Students know how expensive textbooks can be. We wanted this edition to be a little easier on their wallets."
