A comparison of life in Rome and the Land of Israel during the first half of the first millennium designed to enrich our understanding of Rabbinic and New Testament literature, and reconstruct these civilizations during that period. Following the footsteps of our fathers, we will paint a word picture of the atmosphere of the cities and byways familiar to Rabbi Akiva and Origen the Bishop of Caesarea.
