Departmental Scholarships
The Department of Religious Studies offers a number of scholarships each year to outstanding Religious Studies majors. The awards are open to all Religious Studies undergraduates of any classification – Freshmen and Sophomores included – who meet the eligibility requirements.
The purpose of these scholarships is to encourage academic excellence in the field of Religious Studies and to reward demonstrated achievement of a high level. These awards can also provide necessary funds for students to study abroad, which the department highly encourages.
For the 2011-2012 academic year, the department is pleased to offer the following scholarships:
Joe and Cherry Gray Scholarship in Religious Studies (2 awards of $1000)
William B. and Sara G. Hilgers Endowed Scholarship in Religious Studies ($750)
