Russian Programs Abroad
Together, CREEES and DSES at UT-Austin run a number of programs in Russia focusing on everything from language acquisition to curriculum development. To find the program that's right for you, see a list of our current offerings below.
Moscow Plus Program
- Summer: 5 weeks in Austin + 5 weeks in Moscow
- Open to UT-Austin students only
- Russian language program: beginner, intermediate, and bridge levels
- Classes take place at UT-Austin & Moscow International University (MIU)
- An affiliated UT study abroad program run by ACTR
Moscow-Texas Connections Program
- Summer: 10 weeks in Moscow
- Open to college students of Russian across Texas!
- Russian language program, intermediate/2nd-year level of Russian
- Classes take place at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow
- A Fulbright-Hays GPA sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education
Siberian Voices Program
- Summer: 5 weeks in Siberia (2013)
- Open to K-12 educators, faculty, and advanced college students across Texas!
- Curriculum development program, with a Russian language component (no previous knowledge required)
- Classes take place across Southern Siberia in Krasnoyarsk, Kyzyl, Irkutsk, and Ulan-Ude
- A Fulbright-Hays GPA sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education
Project GO!
- Summer: 8 weeks in Moscow
- Open to ROTC students at UT-Austin and nationwide for Russian language
- Summer language program (intermediate level) + academic year program at UT-Austin
- Classes take place at Moscow International University (MIU)
- Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense
