Course Description
The course continues a first-year introduction to the Czech language with an emphasis on speaking and reading. In addition to the textbook, music, video and the internet will be used not only to increase proficiency, but also to expose students to Czech culture.
Periodic quizzes and dictations not listed on the syllabus (some of them unannounced) will be scheduled between the regularly scheduled tests and quizzes. A missed quiz, whether scheduled or unscheduled, is a failed quiz. Two quiz grades will be dropped at the end of the semester.
