Course Description
The purpose of this course if to increase students' vocabulary and to review those grammatical points that are most troublesome for the students at this level. Special attention will be given to the development of writing skills by writing compositions on assigned topics. There will be numbers handouts with a wide selections of authentic reading materials on the topics covered in the textbook. The reading assignments will facilitate the development of reading proficiency. Class time will be devoted primarily to exercises, oral and writing practice, listening comprehension practice, and discussions of readings.
Grading Policy
Exams: Final Exam - 15% ; tests/exams 30% Participation, classwork, homework: grammar exercises, reading assignments -25% Writing Grade: translations -15%, compositions - 15% Total: 100%
