Course Description
This course provides a thorough introduction to social demography, focusing on the following questions: What theoretical perspectives guide the scientific study of population? What data are used to examine population changes? What are the some of the key determinants of population change? What are some of the key consequences of population change? How are populations structured? Throughout the course, focus is given to some of the most important population changes that are now taking place throughout the world, in the United States, and in Texas.
