SOC 340D • Violence

Course Description

This course will provide an overview of the different theories of interpersonal and group violence. Although the course will pay special attention to criminological theories of violent crime, we will also cover readings on feuding, ethnic and nationalist violence, political violence, and aggression in intimate relations among other subjects. Students are expected to have some prior exposure to sociology.
