Course Description
This course examines the basic structural, cultural and historical dimensions of contemporary race relations in the United States. Special emphasis will be given to the social, political, and economic concerns and issues related to underrepresented racial and ethnic groups in America. This course will primarily consist of the following: (1) interactive lectures; (2) Internet usage; (3) Films; (4) small group exercises to promote constructive dialogues on issues on race and ethnicity; and (5) an open forum for students to express their views about diversity here at UT and within our society
