Course Description
The purpose of this course is to examine these kinds of assumptions and other issues about constructing and testing theories of crime causation. This is done by considering: (1) causal versus spurious effects, (2) independent versus shared causes, (3) reversible versus irreversible causes, and (4) basic versus superficial causes.
