Tue, April 12, 2011 • 11:00 AM • BUR 214

Power, History, and Society Graduate Student and Faculty Network and the Department of Sociology present

The Politics of Migration

How does the movement of people across borders respond to or change structures of power in society? How does the study of migration enhance our understanding of social class and inequality? How have international political transitions shaped migration and vice versa?

Join us for a internationally-informed panel discussion on the intersections of migration and political sociology, hosted by Power, History, and Society. Panelists include Nicolette D. Manglos, Nestor Rodriguez, and Sharmila Rudrappa from the Department Sociology. Come with questions!
